Is digital printing cost-effective?
Yes it is. One of the great advantages of digital print is that you only print your exact needs. You can trial new publications, deliver short-run publications, and keep back-list titles in print. With a one-off minimum of 100 (smaller for ongoing customers) you can save on waste, warehousing, transport costs and worry.

Does Ligare design and typeset my book?
Ligare doesn't directly offer these services but we can recommend people who can design, typeset and deliver the file formats required.

I have an older book and no electronic file. Can Ligare help me?
Yes. We can scan your book and then print from the scanned file. Of course the scanned file may vary from the original book, and the original book will need to be dismantled for the scanning. However Ligare can also rebind your original book as well.

What is the minimum run for an offset printed book?
Ligare can print from 300 copies to 20,000 copies (or more) of your publication.

What is the best format for my electronic files?
Our preferred format is ACROBAT PDF with Ligare settings. Please see our pre-press page for full details or contact us. Please make sure that all your fonts are embedded in the file.

How do I know that my book will be printed correctly?
Ligare will produce a proof of your book for you to approve before going ahead with printing and binding of both digital and conventional offset publications.

How long will it take to print my book?
If there are no problems with the files submitted to Ligare you will have your proofs within 3-4 days. Once you have approved the proofs the publications will be finished within 2-3 weeks depending on the complexity of the job. If you have a strict deadline for your publication we can often accommodate this, but please consult us about this at quotation stage.

When can I expect my quotation back?
We have a fast turn-around for quotations; simple quotations will be with you the next working day from receipt of your final specifications by our sales team; more complex quotations may take 2-3 working days.

Can Ligare mail out my publication to individuals on my mailing list?
Ligare has a mailing and warehousing service. If you deliver your mailing list in an Excel format (or compatible) we can print labels and package your publication ready for pickup by your courier of choice using your courier account. Please consult us for more details of this service.
